LINE PRODUCER
Martin Lagestee (51) graduated in 1977 from the Amsterdam
Filmacadamy. He has been active in the Dutch film industry as a
director, producer, writer and a board member in different
related organisations since then.
Lagerstee directed movies such as Pipo en de P-P-Parelridder,
Claim, De Rode Zwaan and Angie, the short films Muren van Behang,
De Speeltuin and Norma, the documentary Zandkastelen, episodes
of tv-shows as Flodder, Unit 13 and Westzijde Posse and many
other films. Muren van Behang won the Gouden Eekhoorn in 1980.
De rode zwaan received a nomination for the Cinekid Award in
2000.
In 1985 he started Lagestee Film BV. The resumé of this
production company includes films like Hammam in Amsterdam, Do
Not Disturb and Jezus is een Palestijn, documentaries as One
Small Step, Waar anderen zwijgen, Jo de Roo, Planeet Kamagurka,
Proud to Be an Asshole from El Paso over Kinky Friedman, Don't
Stop the Show about the Golden Earring, the triptych Fatal
Reaction and the controversial Bachvirus. Furthermore Lagestee
Film produced many short films and over a hundred
filmassignments for the government and the business world.
At present the horror movie SL8N8 is in production. Other
projects that are being worked on are the epics The Mighty
Oliphaunt after Karel ende Elegast, the horrorfilm New Blood,
the political thriller No End, the familyfilm Paddeltje, the
crimecomedy Katvanger, the comedy Sorrywood, a film about Arjan
Erkel and the documentary Blond, Blue Eyes about Rutger Hauer. |
